Exhibitor Academy Kickoff: Your Strategic Starting Point for the 2023 SHOT Show
NSSF is kicking off the 2023 SHOT Show® Exhibitor Academy, a series of nine FREE online training sessions for SHOT Show exhibitors, on Wednesday, July 20, at 2 p.m. Eastern. This first session will be your strategic starting point for your path to success at the 2023 SHOT Show in Las Vegas. Join the SHOT Show team and trade show trainer Robyn Davis to learn how to set appropriate priorities for your exhibiting preparations and navigate key decisions strategically. Plus, Robyn will be available for a Q&A, where you can ask her anything on how to refocus or set priorities for this year. 3-Day ‘SHOT Show CX’ Provides Knowledge and Connections for Exhibitors
We recently hosted over 30 exhibitors in Las Vegas for a micro event we dubbed “SHOT Show CX.” The three-day experience allowed exhibitors to meet one-on-one with NSSF staff and our SHOT Show partners, attend education sessions and Q&A discussions, and visit and tour various facilities and attractions in Las Vegas. This included a tour of the Freeman Co. warehouse, the High Roller, Caesars Forum, and a fun event at Top Golf Las Vegas, hosted by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. The goal of SHOT Show CX was to help our exhibitors maximize the return on their investment by providing knowledge and connections to help make their SHOT Show experience in 2023 and beyond the best it can possibly be. And like the show itself, it was an awesome networking, educational, and fun experience for our customers, and we thank everyone who made the time to attend. NFL Draft Takes Over Caesars Forum
As those who attended the most recent SHOT Show can attest, the new Caesars Forum convention center is a sight to behold. The NFL took full advantage of all the new facility has to offer in April, when it hosted the NFL Draft. The draft’s main theater, where teams announced their draft picks, was staged on the 100,000-square-foot outdoor Forum Plaza, located right outside the convention center. This was where NSSF hosted a giant “welcome back” reception at the 2022 SHOT Show, which was well received and greatly appreciated by all who attended. Las Vegas Revved Up for 2023 Formula 1 Race
Formula 1’s newest race is coming to Las Vegas, and the track will take it right past the Venetian and Palazzo resorts. Set for November 2023, the Las Vegas Grand Prix will feature a 14-turn track—right through the heart of Las Vegas—spanning 3.8 miles with top speeds expected to hit around 212 mph. After the SHOT Show, this could be the second-best in event to attend in Las Vegas in 2023. — Jeff Pressman, ConvExx
International Exhibitors: Be Mindful of Visa Appointment Wait Times
COVID travel restrictions may be improving, but the most recent update to the State Department’s Visa Wait Times shows there are still very serious, ongoing visa appointment delays, The National Law Review reports. Wait times to secure Visa stamping appointments are currently at more than 100 days in many locations—and more than 200 days in other areas—depending on where you are traveling from. We encourage all our international exhibitors and attendees to be mindful of this as you plan for 2023 SHOT Show.
